Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 available from 1st May! 20th April 2010
Today Microsoft Corp. introduced Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010, an easy-to-use enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution for midsize businesses that want advanced functionality, strong business intelligence reporting options and interoperability with other line-of-business applications.

VAT - Reversion of the Standard Rate to 17.5% 17th November 2009
The UK standard VAT rate returns to 17.5% on 1 January 2010. Under the normal VAT time of supply rules, invoices issued on or after 1 January will bear VAT at the 17.5% rate and some payments may be similarly affected.

VAT 2010 Changes for Microsoft Dynamics GP 21st September 2009
The changes to the Cross-border VAT rules announced at Budget (22nd April 2009) represent a significant reform of the VAT regime applying to services and introduce important changes to the intra-EU reporting regime for goods.
To comply with the new rules, clients will need to make changes to their current VAT accounting and reporting processes in order to be ready for 1 January 2010.
Microsoft will be releasing various software updates between October and December 2009 to help Microsoft Dynamics GP customers comply with the new VAT Package regulations.
